Cretan Graviera Among the World’s Top Hard Cheeses

Nine Greek cheeses have made it to the top of the list of the best and most delicious hard cheeses in the world, according to the latest rankings published by Taste Atlas.

 

While Parmesan unsurprisingly holds the number one spot, Naxos Graviera takes a well-deserved second place. Right after, Cretan Graviera shines in third place.

Other Greek cheeses also stand out in the list: Kefalograviera ranks 7th, San Michali (from Syros) 8th, Agrapha Graviera 9th, Kefalotyri 13th, Metsovone 14th, and Ladotyri from Mytilene 17th. Melichloro from Lemnos appears in 43rd place, and Xynotyro from Mykonos in 64th.
